‘Kohra’ web series Review
fame for “Paatal Lok” and “NH10” The program’s co-creator is Sudeep Sharma. Randeep Jha, known for “Halahal,” also directed “Kohra,” which includes six episodes. It is a thriller that delves into the murky mysteries of Punjab’s rural districts. Although the screenplay by Gunjit Chopra and Diggi Sisodia moves at a rather leisurely pace, it succeeds in holding viewers’ attention throughout the entire series. We get a close-up view of a number of features of Punjab’s rural society throughout the series. There, migration is frequent. The show also explores the lifestyles of inherited landowners, drug use, and feudal infighting. The programme discusses escaping from the shadows and building a culture and community where truthfulness and empathy are essential.

In Punjab’s Jagrana hamlet, a dead corpse is discovered at the start of the series. Balbir Singh (Suvinder Vicky) and Amarpal Garundi (Barun Sobti), two committed police officials from Punjab, are in charge of the inquiry. Every actor gave a wonderful performance. Suvinder Vicky portrayed policeman Balbir Singh in this with the utmost realism. His protagonist has a rocky personal existence. Nimrat (Harleen Sethi), another daughter, is also his. Although Barun Sobti, who portrays Balbir’s sidekick Garundi, struggles a little with Punjabi, once he gets going, he becomes a force to be reckoned with. Manish Chowdhary, Varun Badola, and Rachael Shailee are just a few of the performers that put their all into their job.
‘Kohra’ was primarily filmed in and around Ludhiana. The series has a more authentic vibe because to Saurabh Monga’s cinematography. The mood is tenseened by the background music, which was composed by Benedict Taylor and Naren Chandravarkar.
‘Kohra’s’ climax unequivocally makes a second season promise. The story’s happy ending, however, comes at a moment where you feel satisfied. You as a viewer are relieved when the series’ conclusion reveals the truth.
Reasons to watch ‘Kohra’ is an overall engaging and expertly made criminal thriller. You get engrossed as a spectator. The narrative approach keeps you interested. It deals with both the challenges and the murky mysteries of Punjab’s rural districts.
